Human interactions amaze me. More than anything, it’s the connections we make on this journey that keep us moving towards our ultimate destination. My photographs are about the spaces people occupy daily. My poems are still moving pictures that capture life's moments. I believe I have a karmic responsibility to capture these nuances. It helps keep me focused on my own journey this time around. A lifelong resident of Philadelphia, I took my first photograph at age 4. At age 5, I started writing poetry to entertain myself. Playing “kick-ball” with the neighborhood kids seemed less exciting. As a communications professional, my awards have been in copywriting, a discipline I enjoy more than most. It allows me to get into the minds of others to arouse emotions. Photography and poetry achieve this as well. Together, they keep me connected to my own moments and space.
